Maria does a lot of things, but mostly she follows her heart. Wherever it leads her, she's sure to be there. Usually that starts with long walks in nature where she can better hear her higher self.
From there she feels her best. And as she penned on her bathroom wall as a reminder, "You're at your best when creative, but you need to be at your best to be creative."
Maria is a designer, writer and doer of things. But mostly she's powered by a passion for observing, reflecting and finding meaning in the madness of our lives.

Hi. My name is Maria Valentine.
There I said it. It wasn't so hard now was it, Maria?
For most of my life I went by another. I got married and became a wife.
Now, I may look the same, but I'm known by yet another name.
Faced with the identity-slaying of UnMarrying, I wanted to unravel my moniker. I stuttered at the simple question, What is your name?
I had grown out of my married name and into Maria 2.0.
But before all was said and done, I could only say Maria.
With time and perserverance through the grit of changing a name, I'm three years past UnMarrying and finally able to say my whole name.
